Always Enough by Maria McNeal
Illustrated by Penny Weber
Design by Veronica Scott

Always Enough was largely inspired by the Internal Family Systems Theory (IFS) developed by Richard Schwartz, which says that we come into the world wired for connection and looking to our caregivers to consistently answer the questions, "Am I safe?" "Am I real?" and "Do I matter?" With this affirmation from and secure attachment to caregivers, we are then able to explore the world with curiosity, creativity, and courage.

Always Enough is a love letter from parent to child that answers those questions and reassures the child that no matter what each day brings, they are enough. It can be used as a tool to start conversations with early elementary-aged children and as a comfort for them to read on their own, once they have developed the ability to do so.
